The 2013 Sycamore Film Festival will be held on Friday, October 11th at the historic and newly renovated DCCF Train Depot. The 2013 Sycamore Film Festival is a non-profit "Arts for the Arts" Benefit to support Sycamore High School scholarships for students who are pursuing education and careers in the Arts. The event celebrates high quality independent films from established award winning Artists as well as brand new student filmmakers. Film lovers can gather at the historic Train Depot in quaint downtown Sycamore (located just over an hour west of Chicago) to watch the exclusive screening of Tony Award Winner and Academy Award nominee Mark Medoff's brand new film "Hatching Max" written by Anna Pattison. The Festival is also proud to present Sycamore's own Michael Dunker, an award winning LA filmmaker who brings his hilarious new Short Film "Best of Both World's" to his hometown of Sycamore after premiering in Festivals from Hong Kong to London and New York to Chicago. SFF also welcomes cutting edge documentary filmmaker Seth Deming; 13 year old rising star of Chicago stage and screen Caroline Heffernan; and award winning producer Nancy Hays!
